Help Is Needed!
I am reaching out to friends and colleagues to help two Iraqi immigrants find work in San Antonio. They have been in this country for a little over 4 months. They now have all documentation necessary to work legally in the states. Their names are Sarkis and Grace Movses. Their contact numbers are: 409-9616 cell and 348-5565 home.
Sarkis was a civil engineer in Iraq and for the last seven years has served as an interpreter for the US troops. He has done handy man work for a number of folks in our church and all report him to be conscientious, hard working, and skilled.
His wife, Grace, was a teacher. She also speaks English. She is looking for any kind of work, housekeeping, restaraunt, caregiving, etc.
They have a car to get them to work.
These are wonderful people who have come to the US as immigrants through Catholic Charities. They are applying for all kinds of jobs, but not getting any calls. They come from the Armenian Orthodox church but are making their church home with us at Saint Andrew.
I would also appreciate if you might share this email with anyone else who might need a good employee.
Thanks!

Important Heart Attack Info
We did not know that you should not lie down while waiting for the EMT
Heart attack info NEW ASPIRIN/ Serious stuff, no joke!!
Just a reminder to all: purchase a box, keep one in your car, pocketbook, wallet, bedside, etc.
IMPORTANT READ......
Something that we can do to help ourselves. Nice to know.
Bayer is making crystal aspirin to dissolve under the tongue. They work much faster than the tablets.
Why keep aspirin by your bedside?
There are other symptoms of an heart attack besides the pain on the left arm.
One must also be aware of an intense pain on the chin, as well as nausea and lots of sweating, however these symptoms may also occur less frequently.
Note: There may be NO pain in the chest during a heart attack.. The majority of people (about 60%) who had a heart attack during their sleep, did not wake up. However, if it occurs, the chest pain may wake you up from your deep sleep.
If that happens, immediately dissolve two aspirins in your mouth and swallow them with a bit of water.
Afterwards:
CALL 911
- say "heart attack!"
- say that you have taken 2 aspirins..
- phone a neighbor or a family member who lives very close by
- take a seat on a chair or sofa near the front door, and wait for their arrival and...
~ DO NOT lie down ~
From the Worship Committee
If you inadvertently took one of the flower urns that belongs to Madison Square, please return it to the church.
When you donate flowers, we encourage you to take them with you following the service - if not please let the church office know and we will take them to a nursing home or a hospital, but please leave the outside urn so that it can be reused (for easy transport of your flowers, there is another container which is inside the church's urn).
Thank you!

MSPC Child Development Center News
We currently have 58 enrolled.
Staring in July - A set of twins will be starting therefore giving us 60 children.
The summer program is full. We have about 7 children waiting to come in to our
pre-school program, but no one is leaving us this summer. Parents that are school educators are working this summer.
Things are going very well and I have wonderful news to share. We had our Childcare Licensing representative come out on May 5, and we scored A+ / 0 demerits. Never in all the years I have been here have we received such an excellent grade.
She was very impressed and said we are doing a wonderful job and are on top of things. I have been on top of the staff and sometimes hard on them to make sure they know the standards especially when it comes to the safety of the children. Our hard work has paid off. We will continue to work hard and excel in everything we do as advocates for children.

Course Description: The last book of the Bible is a single letter written in apocalyptic language to Christians living in Asia during the first century. It was written in a time of crisis. While its language is strange and difficult to understand, it has had a significant influence on Christianity and cultures and continues to speak to the contemporary church. Although this book has been used, abused and discounted over the centuries, this study presents Revelation as an Apocalyptic Hope for Today. Participants will be helped to encounter this book contextually and faithfully, discovering more about God and Gods great love for the whole world, especially during challenging and difficult times.
About the Instructor: The Rev. Frank Seaman is a graduate of Austin College and Union Theological Seminary in Richmond, Virginia. Currently retired, he has served as pastor of four congregations, one in Mississippi and three in Texas. His last pastorate was San Antonios Northwood Presbyterian Church, where he served as its pastor for fifteen years. Following his retirement from Northwood, he became the director of church relations for Schreiner University in Kerrville. Now he is really retired, although he still preaches occasionally and is a trustee for Presbyterian Pan American School and the Synod of the Sun Foundation. Frank and his wife, Gerry, have two children and two grandsons.
