Children's Choir and Youth Ensemble

Beginning Sunday, April 6, children and youth are invited to be a part of the Madison Square Children’s Choir and Youth Ensemble.
All singers and musicians are invited!

If you play an instrument bring it to the first meeting.
Also, bring a piece of music you can play.

Children - 1st-6th Grade - Sundays @ 9:25 am
Youth - First Meeting Sunday @ 12:00 noon

Habitat for Humanity Presbyterian Cluster 2008 Build Info:

It's Habitat time!  Time to dig out your work gloves and old boots and head out to the Habitat build site.  Madison Square was a founding member of the San Antonio Presbyterian Cluster of Churches.  You do not have to have any building experience to volunteer with Habitat...just a willingness to help out.  We've been assigned 3 build dates for the Spring 2008 build.

For Building Volunteers, you can volunteer for 8am-12 Noon, 12 Noon-4pm or 8am-4pm

 Habitat for Humanity San Antonio's Mission Statement:  Habitat for Humanity of San Antonio is an ecumenical Christian non-profit housing organization working in partnership with God's people in need to build simple, decent and affordable houses without interest or profit, thereby witnessing God's love in action.

 Please check and double-check your calendar prior to signing up.  We will email you directions to the job site, the release form, food preparation info and/or other pertinent information after you sign up.  Questions?  Call us!

Ask-A-Lawyer Free Walk-In Legal Clinic

WHO: Anyone seeking information about a legal issue.  Past issues have included: child custody, divorce, immigration, bankruptcy, identity theft, estate planning, probate, etc.  Legal issues are not limited to those just listed.
WHEN:   Wednesday April 16, 2008 from 6:00pm – 8:00pm
WHERE:  St. Jude Catholic Church (130 S. San Augustine, San Antonio, TX 78237).
HOW: No appointment is necessary. Just show up between 5:45pm-7:00pm to register. Assistance is offered on a first come first served basis.

“Ask A-Lawyer” clinic is a cooperative program sponsored by Catholic Charities Archdiocese of San Antonio and the St. Mary’s University School of Law.  If you have any questions, please call Jenna Carl at Catholic Charities Immigration Services at 433-3256 ext. 120.

Fiesta Parade Chairs!

Each year Madison Square sets up parade chairs for the day and night parades. The money raised helps send members of our church on mission trips. This summer the youth are planning on going to Costa Rica and could use your help! If you have the time to set up and/or take down chairs please call the office and let us know.

Friday – April 25th – We need a group to unload chairs early in the morning 8  ish and then a group to reload the chairs after the parade 4  ish.

Saturday – April 26 – The same process takes place just later in the day for the night parade.

WEBB Party

The WEBB Party has become the single largest fundraiser for the San Antonio AIDS Foundation (SAAF). One hundred percent of event-night proceeds go directly into SAAF’s client services.
